The Mogenson Group
Lucas grew up in Alexandria and I have a strong connection to this community. After finishing my studies and traveling for a few years, I worked as an interior and exterior painter. During that time, I met my wife, Shannon, and I convinced her to move here from the cities (Minneapolis). When I moved back to Alexandria, I worked as a project manager for a high-end home designer. This helped me learn how to work on multiple projects and clients at once. Definitely a valuable skill! Then I started my own painting company, but I realized that wasn’t enough. I wasn’t fulfilled. My passion for homes drew me back, so I decided to get my Real Estate license. I quickly learned that being a Real Estate Agent meant so much more to me. It was the missing piece I’d been looking for. I thoroughly enjoy educating buyers and sellers about the process while growing our relationship and providing exceptional customer service.
Fast forward a few years, Shannon and I were overjoyed to learn that we were expecting our first baby, a little girl. We always dreamed of starting a family, and this was everything we had hoped for. Shannon worked in the insurance industry, and we often discussed the possibility of her joining me in my real estate business in the future. However, with the arrival of our daughter Lyla, our lives became even busier. We cherish spending time with her and our 2 dogs.
When Lyla was about 9 months old, we had a serious conversation about what was holding Shannon back from pursuing her Real Estate license right now. We talked at length and considered the changes we’d need to make to our lives. The ultimate goal has always been to have more time with our family, which is our top priority. We want to be able to attend our children’s special events. Concerts at school, baseball games, ballet recitals – you name it, we wanted to be able to be there. We didn’t want to miss out on them due to work conflicts. Growing up, my dad rarely missed a swim meet, so I want to do the same when it comes to my children. I remember how special it was to always have my Dad there, and I wanted our kids to have that same feeling.
Together we decided for Shannon to get her Real Estate license. She passed her exams and together we formed The Mogenson Group. There are areas that Shannon is better at than I am and vice versa. Our strengths complement one another. There are numerous benefits of being a team. It allows our clients to get the best service with two people working for them.
Our team has decided to focus on helping families who are upsizing. We can relate best to our clients because we too are at this stage in our lives. We live it every day. We understand juggling work and children can be overwhelming, so our goal is to make the process of upsizing as seamless and effortless as possible through our Family Haven Masterplan. Our commitment to you goes beyond a transaction. We want you to feel like a part of our family and maintain a long-term relationship with you. These are the relationships that we’ll cherish forever.
